Non Stop

Clay and I have been going Non Stop. We had a wonderful and productive weekend that included friends and some household duties. Friday night we met friends at Blue Goose on Greenville for dinner and drinks. Saturday Clay played in a golf tournament with Miles and Matt, while Michelle and I met up in Arlington for some girl time. Michelle and I were able to catch up over lunch and some shopping. Today we headed out to Farmers Market and bought our spring/summer flowers for the flower beds. Normally we would have had this done weeks ago, but the kitchen has everything else on hold. I will do a kitchen post later this week after our granite is installed. Some pics of our hard work... and yes I did help.
The ferns are my favorite, I love green... Clay likes color.

Where's Brody?

There he is!

He is a great supervisor, not much of a helper

It only took us all day

Did Somebody Call The Doctor

In the past few weeks I have been asked by many of my coworkers if my husband is a doctor, specifically a plastic surgeon. At first I did not think anything of it, but after about the 10th person, I started to wonder why they would think this. Come to find out that there is a Dr. Clayton Frenzel in the DFW area that has been advertising on radio and billboards. His office is actually in Arlington, Texas which is where Clay(husband) is from. Either way "NO" my husband is not a doctor, I wish. I thought I would share the link for anyone that would be interested in a little cosmetic surgery. Maybe if I needed something done he would give me a discount since my husband and him have the same names.

Kitchen Remodel

So Clay and I decided that we wanted to remodel our kitchen. What were we thinking! Our house was on the market for less then a day before we put an offer on it. We had been looking for a house for awhile and when we found this house we were sold. We have been in our house for almost two years and we love it. We have done a lot of work to really make it ours. Our house was built in 1958, and our kitchen and main bath have never really been updated. Our main bathroom is the original and our kitchen was not in its original form, but was still a little dated. I definitely made it work for awhile, but it was time. Clay and I would like to be in this house for awhile. We are in a great location, and we could start our family here in the future. With that being said we made the decision that we were not going to be totally happy until the kitchen was how we wanted it. So after picking out cabinets, redesigning our kitchen, picking out all new appliances, counter tops and much more, it was to late too turn back. So we are currently under construction and it will probably not be all said and done till the end of the month. My house is in total chaos. Not only is this remodel stressful, but the fact that my house is a complete disaster is even more stressful. I'm looking forward to the finished project.  Here are some pictures. I will  update weekly on the remodel until its completed.

Clay started by taking all the doors off
No turning back now

No  oven, sink, or dishwasher (I have been washing dishes in the bathroom)

I Want My MTV

I wonder sometimes if I'm to old to be watching MTV shows. Clay reminds me often that I'm killing brain cells. I'm a little embarrassed to say that some of my favorite shows are on MTV, I guess you could say I enjoy watching junk. Teen Mom would be on the top of the list. When did teen pregnancy become the cool thing to do? If you have ever seen this show than you would know the answer to that question. Having a baby at sixteen is almost as cool as a Justin Bieber concert .Give me a break the Sex Doctor himself Dr. Drew host the reunion shows. I wonder how much these girls are being paid. I guess if I knew I was going to be all over People Magazine, then maybe I would consider it for a moment. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a teen mom, besides the fact that both my parents would have killed me. This show promotes all the wrong things, but I love it.  I guess in this case, its better that I be to old for this show than to young.

Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes

Today my SIL Nicole is having a partial knee replacement. Surgery is always a big deal, but I know that she is really looking forward to having a new knee. Not only is she excited about a new knee, but all the things that come along with having this surgery, except maybe the pain. No cooking, cleaning, running around after my two beautiful nieces and of course NO WORK. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Finally...

I have finally decided to not only read blogs, but to create my own.
